We must face up to the fact that we need to look among ourselves to find enough candidates to fight the Bailhache/Gorst Gang.<br /><br />Daunting to those of us who find it nerve-racking to speak at a wedding let alone on an election hustings. Agree with the above poster, Ferguson, Young or S...<br />Agree with the above poster, Ferguson, Young or Sam would be a satisfactory result, but remember the last election, it was between Ferguson and Ozouf, in the recount Ozouf found that he had over two hundred votes more. Some people may view that as strange ?<br /><br />Desperate times need desperate measures to keep the balance of power.<br /><br />If the powers that be, can transfer multi million pound publicly owned assets to arms length groups of their friends, ex politicians, ex civil servants and yes men to do with as they wish the under a cloak of secrecy call it all commercially sensitive therefore not in the publics interest to know, messing with an election is a piece of cake.<br /><br />Is the first citizen, the Bailiff our head judge and head of the judiciary going to stand up and say democracy is becoming a distant memory on Jersey ? Of course not when they have awarded him a ten percent increase on his remuneration package every year for the last five years. He now gets £337,000 to not get involved.<br /><br />More than twice the pay packet of the UK prime minister.<br /><br />Is this why he removed the covenant in the Royal court allowing Eddie Noel to charge St Helier residents for waste disposal ? His politics are on the right side i.e. the left side. Unfortunately when he did manage to get elected and in to the States we never heard him. Not a proposition, barely a question.
