Merry Christmas.

A quick posting to wish all readers a Merry Christmas and thank you for your support during the year which has seen the site hits double from the previous year.

2014 is an election year and will see the much awaited Committee of Inquiry into decades of Child Abuse in Jersey so some very serious subjects to tackle on the local Blogs (Jersey's only independent media).

In the meantime please enjoy this short video....... (please excuse the language)........................And Merry Christmas.

  1. Bit surreal, that video :)

Merry Christmas to you and family, and to the rest of the local Bloggers, even to Mr H of the 'super 4'... 'tis the season of goodwill to all, after all! Thanks for giving us so much to read and think about. Best wishes for 2014

  5. Merry Christmas VFC. Keep up the excellent work.

Today's JEP confirms that ILM will not stand in the 2014 elections. He says he has achieved his goals. No doubt he has. There is some odd talk in the article about him possibly coming back in 2018. All very strange if you ask me.

    1. Merry Christmas and one wonders if ILM will be “getting out of Dodge” while the Child Abuse Committee of Inquiry is on the go and will come back when it’s over?

He certainly has achieved his goals but something tells me those “goals” will be coming back to haunt him………

  6. le marquand is such an idiot - such bafoonary whilst covering up it looks so obvious ! he keeps looking down at his soul spread all over the floor.

prosecutors wont revisit , why not ? unless there is new evidence , why not ? they could do , so they could revisit them ? they have !

  7. Happy Christmas and keep up the good high standard work.

I really don't understand how that idiot is still there after that incredible interview. What a plonker.

The other great feature of that interview is the interviewer's use of silence, one of the most powerful tools in the trade.

A real pleasure to watch on both counts.

    Nollaig shona.

    1. Merry Christmas Polo, thanks for all your support, and Senator Le Marquand will be the feature of a number of up-coming Blogs in the New Year. Agree it was a good use of silence and shows how the Senator can’t keep it together when confronted with a real journalist.

  11. Five years and one day ago, you posted a very moving video
'A tribute to Haut De La Garenne Survivors' here......
    http://voiceforchildren.blogspot.com/2008/12/tribute-to-haut-de-la-garenne-survivors.html

In it you implied you would stop blogging. Thank goodness you didn't!
Your work, together with Rico and other Jersey bloggers has provided the world with a rich and very valuable catalogue of Jersey abuse disasters. Your interviewing skills, analysis, questions and understanding of the hidden Jersey agenda is brilliant so it is not surprising VFC and Rico's blogs were praised in national media. Your posts are an important cogg in the unfolding that will, eventually, lead a critical mass in demanding an end to the corruption in Jersey.
Thank you VFC for all that you have done and wishing you and your family a very happy, healthy and merry Christmas.

  12. Thank you Hope 4 Jersey for all the work you do behind the scenes. The Jersey Blogs have come a long way in the last five years and we have gained the trust, and confidence, not only of our readers, but those who have learnt (in some cases the hard way) that the State Media can't be trusted and now leak important documents to us.

Can't see 2014 being any different in that respect and with the COI on its way, and our readership growing, more people are going to learn some truths, that won't be told in the State Media, and more people will be aware of the cesspit this, once beautiful, Island has become.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.

  14. As you know VFC I have the deepest respect for you and your family for many different reasons. Strange how 'things' have brought us together in many different ways, but all that aside, your resolve in exposing all that is wrong in this Island is worthy of the utmost praise and encouragement. Long may it continue..

As an aside - is it not very strange (or convenient) that Le Marquand, Lundy and Bonjour have opted out of their lucrative posts early with the CoI pending?

    1. Jill. I have the upmost respect for you and all the work you and Carrie do for Victims Survivors of abuse on the Island. The circumstances that brought us together were tragic but fateful and you remain a huge inspiration in my life.

Thank you for all your support, long may it continue, and yes there are a few “jumping ship” as it were but it is only a matter of time.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.

    1. Merry Christmas Jacques, thanks for your support, and it is a shame the “haters” hurl abuse but unfortunately that’s all they have in the tank. It is those haters who are bringing down the reputation of this island by abusing those of us trying to get to the truth behind the atrocities still going.

  18. The Minister for Home Affairs, Senator Ian Le Marquand, has said that he is leaving politics because he has 'achieved all his goals.' Presumably his goals included declaring himself as a candidate for Chief Minister then withdrawing due to lack of support, and then failing to be elected to his second-choice post of Finance Minister. If that is the case then he achieved both of those goals. Does he think that we are all daft? He is leaving politics because he has failed to fulfill his ambitions and has good cause to fear that he would not be re-elected should he stand again. He is jumping before he is pushed. It is that simple.

    1. It is a widely held view that Senator Le Marquand's "goals" were to get rid of the legitimate Chief Police Officer, Graham Power QPM, and put a lid on the Child Abuse Investigation perhaps he counts these as a "success?" Your comment could/should have been written by a journalist but the local State Media are only here to repeat what they are told and not to challenge the Establishment line.

It is said that Senator Le Marquand didn't only want rid of Mr. Power QPM but any officer who had shown any support for him and carried out a witch hunt in order to get rid of those cops.

Senator Le Marquand has spent MILLIONS OF POUNDS on failed investigations and has proven to be a liability to the taxpayer.

But you won't be reading any of this in the STATE MEDIA.

  20. VFC if there was evidence that you and other rational and evidenced bloggers are needed it is the partially released and MSM swallowed (hook, line and sinker and with a fat Le Hocq lugworm ) information that has seeped out like a squeeze on a festering carbuncle into the almost public arena.
The first was the 'comment free' JEP online story that nMillions of pounds have been used to support local and non-local PR companies in spinning , sorry presenting in a correct light, stories from most of the ministries. Also that internal 'scriptwriters ' have been employed at very significant rates. Now VFC this could of course be interpreted as 'All Your Fault' with the 'proper story' needing to be put out there by people such as the company representing the Church of England no less as well as many States departments , if the website is to be believed , I think Mandy Rice Davis commented on such linkages. That particular PR machine has very strong links with another of the media but the biggest laugh is it's corporate headquarters Media House, St.Martins. All I could find at that address was a small semi-detached cottage.
The second was the Channel online comment about how despite allowing 1000 new people into the Island every year for the last ten years , the Ministers were now going to make that 350 from now on, laugh ... I nearly wet myself, but although a comment box was available CTV miraculously did not receive any worth posting, strange that.
The Third is another CTV one , and well done for them as the JEP didn't get it at all . This is the Gorst year of the long knives, where soon as.. , he will get the power to only employ as Ministers, 'sleek headed men the sort that sleep at night',( Julius Caesar by my mate Bill (the other one)). Casting all 'not on song ' into the wilderness. Funny that that is a coup, purge or true test of loyalty to the leader and his vision of a Greater Jersey (opps sorry that's the other leader isn't it).
Happy New Year VFC we need you.

  21. I like to join in the debate and put comments up but the reason that CTV is so not used is because they allowed an idiot well known disgusting troll to run riot. He ruined their party. The other thing is a few months back, to camera and with serious look, the presenters told Jersey how they told the story, how CTV were professional and on the ball.

They reminded me of Wonga, we are here to make your life better,we bullshit you, and expect you to believe us.

  22. Christ is not a lie, and I know that because he has helped me get through Pindown and Secret Family Court abuse, I cried out to Him when there wasn't anyone else there to help me and He led me to find out about Richard Gardner and Ralph Underwager, and it was me who found out about David Rose MI5 agent, sorry if it sounds like I am blowing my own trumpet, but I have slogged my guts out researching stuff reading loads of stuff, and feel like I am being brushed under the carpet. Jesus really does exist, and so do I and whats more I am too fat to be poked under any blinking carpets! Just feel so sad that Ian Evans can have another pop at me by rubbishing Christianity, and at Christmas time too, and you all know that I am a Christian, yet everyone is ok about it, WELL I'M NOT!

Just sitting here, reading what he's posted - the second time he's posted nasty things about me in a month - feeling so very very hurt. I thought you were my friends, you all of you know I am a Christian, why can you all not see why it absolutly hurts what he's posted? I have slogged my guts out to expose the Pindown scandal, I have been so brave, and quite frankly I feel so betrayed.

If I were a Muslim what Ian Evans wrote about my God would not be tolerated. I just feel so shocked and appalled that no-one seems to see the horrible insult that is bang on target!

Stuart is an athiest, but he would NEVER have let Ian Evans post that about my Lord Jesus Christ, because he would never let one of the Pindowns be hurt with such a cheap shot. Sorry that such a bigoted remark against Christianity is considered ok on this blog.

  23. I feel so betrayed. Why is it ok to attack Christianity, when it is absolute taboo to attack any other religion, or catagory of people? Why cant anyone see how I feel? What the hell is wrong with people - is everyone blind? I feel like I have walked into the Day of the Triffids right now!

  24. My recollection is that his stated key aim during campaigning in 2008 was to bring the Police back under political control. He has achieved that.

Neil, keep up the good work. Shame we don't have an annual prize for the best local journalism. Maybe the blog readers and JEP commenters could crowd fund one - not sure how it is done though.
