  3. I have been trying to find some of the replies received from British broadcasting corporation when complaints were sent to them about the impartial reporting in Jersey.

These needs to be entered into the investigation.

  4. Re: records of abuse bias complaint email to BBC

I lost most of those records when my hard drive crashed, but I just found I still have a couple of Jersey bias complaints and responses back from the BBC archived on my saved email. These were in reference to biased child abuse coverage, and lack of coverage of related major news stories. The BBC never provided me with a reference number for my complaint, which I found odd although I did receive a couple of replies. Who should we forward these to?

  5. I think everyone should complain to the BBC about their stinkly biased offshore Beeb.

  6. The BBC has got some very serious questions to answer but they just don't answer THEM

  7. On the face of it, the failure to exclude victims of abuse by visitors to Jersey Care Homes in the financial claims sounds like a loss for the cause of justice. It is a blatant exclusion of victims of Jimmy Savile, and possibly other paedophile visitors, and that should lead to a separate new investigation and compensation plan.

If outside pressure forces this issue to be reinvestigated what would prevent victims from making abuse claims in the future? This could be a second opportunity for a complete re-opening of the investigation of what really happened at HDLG and any other State run Care facilities where visitors and staff abused children.

By failing to include compensation for children abused by guests, Jersey is scoring an own goal.

  8. I would send the copies of the replies you received to one of the tabloids Not the BBC I am sure they would bin them.

The BBC were aware people were unhappy with reporting any replies they sent is acknowledgement of there actions.

  9. I'd rather not publish my email address on a public online basis, but I would forward my own original email complaints and replies from the BBC to the appropriate investigator in the UK, when that contact person is identified. I do not, however, see the point in re-sending this correspondence to the BBC, as they surely had and ignored my reasons for bias complaint.

  10. Will you be posting up the video of Ricos interview with Deputy Higgins.

I watched the live broadcast and then rewatched on blog TV. It is a shame some of the parts are missing which is why I wanted to watch again, it was to do with the Greff and note taking? Having to have witness in the room?

  14. Because of Warcup & Gradwell's losing/misplacing/disregarding all relevant evidense, regarding historic(?) child abuse in Jersey. Because none of it could be proven.

Now that a lot more evidence has come to light.

Surely the whole Historic Child Abuse investigation has to be now be started from scratch....

A clean slate, so to speak?!

  16. The commenter at 12:29 yesterday brings up a critical issue. We do not know exactly which evidence was deliberately destroyed or conveniently lost as soon as Mr Power and Mr Harper were out of their way. Surely there should now be calls for the more sophisticated forensic testing of the evidence, and especially the plethora of milk teeth, using the procedure described by former Senator Syvret at the time the evidence was still available. The missing bath is yet another suspicious matter and that is still unexplained. We do not know if Jimmy Savile was accused of taking victims down into the voids which were proved to be high enough for that, but did Jersey deliberately destroy evidence in case a new investigation ever took place?

  17. We could probably demonstrate a comparison between the aggressive BBC coverage of Catholic Church child abuse and that coverage of similar institutional abuse in Jersey.
